About Course

Pathology is a fundamental medical science that bridges basic sciences and clinical practice by studying the nature, causes, and effects of diseases. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of disease processes at the cellular, tissue, and organ levels. Students will explore how normal physiological functions are altered in disease conditions, forming a strong foundation for diagnosis and patient care.

The course covers key areas such as general pathology, including cell injury, inflammation, healing, and neoplasia, as well as systemic pathology, which focuses on diseases affecting specific organ systems. Emphasis is placed on understanding mechanisms of disease, morphological changes, and clinical correlations. Students will also be introduced to laboratory diagnostic techniques, including histopathology, cytology, hematology, and clinical pathology.

Through interactive lectures, practical sessions, case discussions, and visual aids, learners will develop the ability to interpret pathological findings and relate them to clinical scenarios. The course aims to enhance critical thinking, diagnostic reasoning, and problem-solving skills essential for healthcare professionals.

By the end of the course, students will be able to identify disease processes, understand their progression, and apply pathological knowledge in clinical settings, contributing to effective patient management and improved healthcare outcomes.
