About Course

Human Physiology is a foundational course that explores the normal functions of the human body and the mechanisms that maintain internal balance. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of how various organ systems work individually and together to sustain life. Students will study key physiological systems including the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, endocrine, musculoskeletal, renal, and gastrointestinal systems.

The course emphasizes the concept of homeostasis and how the body responds to internal and external changes. Learners will gain knowledge about cellular physiology, membrane transport, nerve impulse transmission, muscle contraction, and hormonal regulation. Special focus is given to understanding the physiological basis of health and disease, which is essential for healthcare professionals.

Practical sessions and demonstrations are integrated to enhance conceptual learning and application. Students will develop critical thinking skills through case-based discussions and problem-solving activities related to real-life clinical scenarios.

By the end of the course, students will be able to describe normal body functions, interpret basic physiological data, and apply physiological principles in clinical and healthcare settings. This course serves as a vital foundation for advanced studies in medicine, nursing, allied health sciences, and biomedical fields.
