About Course

Covers principles and methods of sterilization and disinfection in laboratory settings.
Provides an overview of chemotherapy and its role in treating microbial infections.
Explores the interaction between microbes and humans, including disease processes.
Explains key concepts of pathogenicity, virulence, and host immune responses.
Details bacteriology with emphasis on gram-positive, gram-negative, acid-fast bacteria, and spirochetes.
Introduces virology including classification and medically important viruses.
Discusses oncogenic viruses including HPV, HBV, EBV, and retroviruses.
Covers HIV structure, transmission, and pathogenesis.
Describes basic mycology focusing on yeasts and fungal infections.
