About Course

The Security in Internet of Things (IoT) course provides a comprehensive understanding of security challenges, threats, and protection mechanisms in IoT environments. The course focuses on securing interconnected smart devices, communication networks, cloud platforms, and data generated by IoT systems. Students will learn about IoT architectures, authentication techniques, encryption methods, access control mechanisms, secure communication protocols, and privacy preservation strategies.

The course also covers cyberattacks on IoT devices such as malware, denial-of-service attacks, data breaches, and unauthorized access, along with methods for threat detection and risk mitigation. Practical exposure to IoT security tools, protocols, and real-world case studies helps students understand secure IoT system design and implementation.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to analyze IoT vulnerabilities, design secure IoT solutions, apply security standards and best practices, and develop strategies to protect smart environments including healthcare, smart homes, industrial automation, and smart cities.
