What Will You Learn?

  • This course introduces learners to the fundamentals of blockchain systems and distributed ledger technologies. It explains how decentralized networks enable secure, transparent, and tamper-resistant digital transactions. Students will explore blockchain architecture, cryptographic principles, consensus mechanisms, and real-world applications across finance, supply chain, healthcare, and governance.

UNIT III Consensus
Consensus (a) Requirements for the consensus protocols (b) Proof of Work (PoW) (c) Scalability aspects of Block chain consensus protocols

UNIT IV Permission Block chains
Permission Block chains (a) Design goals (b) Consensus protocols for Permission Block chains

Unit V Ethereum
Ethereum Introduction to Ethereum, Basics of Ethereum, Introduction to Web 3 and Truffle, Introduction to smart contract, Components of smart contract
