The course Entrepreneurship Development is designed to introduce MCA students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the process of creating and managing innovative ventures. It familiarizes learners with the concept of enterprise creation, the entrepreneurial mindset, and the phases involved in entrepreneurship development. The course emphasizes the role and characteristics of successful entrepreneurs while highlighting opportunities in social, rural, and women entrepreneurship. Students gain insights into idea generation, product innovation, feasibility analysis, and business plan preparation essential for launching technology-driven ventures. It also explores innovation management, creativity, green technology, and technology business incubation processes. The curriculum introduces Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, to safeguard innovations. Additionally, students learn about institutional support systems, funding opportunities, angel investors, and venture capital. By integrating 21st-century skills with entrepreneurial thinking, the course prepares MCA graduates to become job creators rather than job seekers.
