About Course

The 23EET103 Electric Circuits and Electron Devices course is a three-credit program designed for students in CSE, IT, and AIML to provide a foundational understanding of both electrical and electronic systems. It focuses on the concepts of DC circuits, including Ohm’s and Kirchhoff’s laws, as well as AC circuits, covering single-phase waveforms, impedance, and the generation of three-phase power. Students also study electrical wiring for residential buildings, focusing on safety aspects like grounding, circuit breakers (MCB & ELCB), and accident prevention. Beyond basic circuits, the course explores various electronic devices such as BJT, JFET, MOSFET, and SCR, along with modern display technologies like LED, LCD, and OLED. Additionally, it covers the practical application of these devices in rectifiers, power supplies (UPS), and battery chargers, emphasizing heat dissipation methods such as cooling fans and heat sinks. By the end of the course, students are expected to be familiar with linear electronics, switching circuits, power amplifiers and also it helps the students to understand the working and applications of basic electrical and electronic systems.
