Contrast radiography enhances visualization of internal structures (organs, vessels, tissues) by introducing contrast mediaÔsuch as barium or iodineÔthat appear opaque or distinct on X-ray images, enabling detection of ulcers, tumors, and vascular conditions. Common procedures include GI studies, IV pyelograms, and angiograms.
