      Hindi was not invented by a single person. It evolved organically over hundreds of years from the ancient Indo-Aryan language family. Its linguistic journey spans several key historical stages:Ancient Roots: Hindi is a direct descendant of Sanskrit, which evolved into regional dialects known as Prakrit and subsequently into Apabhramsha around the 7th century AD.Early Terminology: The poet Amir Khusro is widely credited with being the first to popularize the term “Hindavi” in the 13th century to describe the regional vernaculars of the Delhi region.
