The first day of the academic year is always special. I felt both excited and a little nervous when I woke up that day. After a long holiday, going back to school felt different.

When I reached school, I saw many of my friends after a long time. We were very happy and started talking and laughing. We shared what we did during our holidays. Some of my friends had new bags and books, which made everything feel new.

After some time, the bell rang and we went to our new classroom. I was curious to see my new teacher. The teacher came and introduced herself. She also asked us to introduce ourselves. At first, I was shy, but slowly I became comfortable.

We also got our new books. I liked looking through them and seeing the lessons we will learn. It made me feel excited about the new class.

By the end of the day, I was not nervous anymore. I felt happy and ready to start the new academic year. The first day showed me that school is not only about studies but also about friends and fun.
