The first day of school is always special, and this year was no different. After enjoying a long summer vacation, I was excited to return to school and meet my friends and teachers again. I woke up early in the morning with great enthusiasm. I ironed my uniform the previous night, so it looked neat and tidy. After having breakfast, I packed my school bag and left for school with a happy feeling.

As I reached the school gate, I saw many students arriving with smiling faces. Everyone seemed excited to start the new academic year. Some students were sharing stories about their holidays, while others were meeting their friends after a long time. The school campus looked clean and beautiful, and it was wonderful to see it full of students again.

When the morning assembly began, all the students gathered together. We prayed, sang the national anthem, and listened to the principal’s speech. The principal welcomed us back and encouraged us to work hard, follow discipline, and make the best use of the new academic year. The speech motivated me to set new goals for myself.

After the assembly, we went to our classrooms. Our class teacher greeted us warmly and asked us about our summer holidays. Many students shared interesting experiences about visiting relatives, travelling to different places, and learning new skills. It was enjoyable to listen to everyone’s stories. We also received our new timetable and information about the subjects we would study this year.

During the lunch break, I spent time with my friends. We talked, laughed, and shared our food. It felt wonderful to be together again after many weeks. The school atmosphere was lively and cheerful.

At the end of the day, our teachers reminded us about our responsibilities and encouraged us to study regularly. As I returned home, I felt happy and confident. My first day at school was exciting, enjoyable, and memorable. It gave me a positive start to the new academic year, and I look forward to learning new things, making wonderful memories, and achieving success in my studies.
