Introduction to Millennium Development Goals,

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), established by the UN in 2000, were eight specific goals to be achieved by 2015, focusing on issues like poverty, education, and health. The subsequent Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted in 2015, expanded on these with 17 broader goals and 169 targets, covering an even wider range of interconnected issues including environmental sustainability, climate action, and peace. The FIP Development Goals refer to the International Pharmaceutical Federation's (FIP) strategic aims for the global pharmacy profession, focusing on areas such as access to safe medicines, pharmaceutical education, and the role of pharmacists in healthcare.
